This Achievement Award is the way that the membership can nominate anyone in their club or charter for recognition of the outstanding work they have done to improve the Kansas charter. It could be for outstanding work in the areas of recruiting, Improvements of existing or building of new courts, tireless efforts put into serving as charter and club officers or excellent work in the areas of organizing events and serving as tournament directors. There are many folks in the Charter who work tirelessly and sacrifice playing time so that you can enjoy pitching in tournaments. When you see this happening take a few minutes and nominate them for this award. It is just a great way of saying thank you in the form of an acknowledgement of their efforts before their peers at the annual meeting. The name of each new recipient is placed on the traveling plaque along with all the past recipients that are listed below.
Any KHPA member can submit a recommendation for nomination of the Traveling Achievement Award by writing a one page or less recommendation and submitting to The Traveling Achievement Chairperson prior to Aug 15th. The committee consists of the last three recipients of the award with the latest recipient being the chairperson of the committee. It is the committee’s responsibility to determine who the recipient will be in the event there are more than one nomination for the current year.
